Well I reckon it would hurt like hell. So contorting and hallucinating seemed appropriate. There's a bit of a metaphor of course...Her virginity gone, angst about her family and 'the situation' also flowers and growth because of the transformation from maiden to woman thing.

I hate explaining symbolism - I'm crap at it !!!!!

Oh cool, I never did very well at explaining myself at college. The others could bullsh!t all day long, as for me I got embarrassed and just clammed up. NEEP!!!
